Magicka is a great game. Unfortunately, it's built in the XNA environment, which means we will probably never see a port for Mac OS X or GNU/Linux. The good news is, it works quite well in Wine. I tried it on a Mac Pro with two quad-core Xeon processors and a 8800GT inside, and it was definately playable (30 fps+). Here's how I got it running on Mac OS X.

I've been experimenting with hooking functions in Windows the last couple of days, and I came across a library that has been very helpful. It's called Detours (http://research.microsoft.com/en-us/projects/detours/). I had some difficulties building it. Apparently it defaulted to compiling in x64. Setting it to x86 will make the necessary files compile just fine. This is how I got it to compile.

I've been experimenting with Google Chrome's sandboxing code the last couple of days, and I though I'd share some experiences. I found a project which had forked Chrome's sandboxing code, and uses CMake instead of Google's depot_tools. After quite some tinkering, I've finally got it to work.
